Privacy Policy

The Morning Groove (“we” or “us”) throws house music day parties in Atlanta and runs this site. This page explains what we collect here, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.
What We Collect
When you join the list: your email address; your phone number and your OK to get texts, if you add them; the page you signed up on; and when you signed up.
When you send a partner request: your name, email, phone number if you add it, and whatever you tell us about your brand, venue or event, timing or budget.
When you visit: like any website, our host receives technical details such as your IP address and browser type, so it can deliver pages and keep the site secure. We count visits and measure how fast pages load, anonymously, without cookies. When you send a form, a bot check reads signals from your browser to tell people from bots.
We don't ask for sensitive information like payment details, government ID numbers or health information, and we don't buy information about you from anyone else.
How We Use It
- To email you about upcoming Grooves: lineups, ticket drops and the details.
- To text you about them, only if you asked for texts.
- To answer partner requests.
- To keep the site running, secure and free of spam, and to see which pages people use.
- To keep a record of your consent and of any request to stop, and to meet our legal obligations.
We don't use your information to make automated decisions about you.
Who Helps Us
We share information only with the companies that run parts of the site for us, and only so they can do that job:
- Vercel hosts the site and runs its forms, bot check, visit counts and speed measurements.
- Neon stores sign-ups and requests in our database.
- Resend sends our emails, keeps our email list, and sends each partner request to our team's inbox.
- A texting service, once we start sending texts, will receive your phone number to send them.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. This site has no advertising trackers.
Text messaging: no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number, your opt-in and your consent to get texts are never shared with anyone, except the texting service that sends our texts for us.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the safety of our guests, or as part of a sale or transfer of The Morning Groove, in which case this policy keeps applying to what we collected.
Tickets are sold on the ticketing sites linked from each event page, and their privacy policies apply when you buy there. Videos here use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and only load when you press play; YouTube's policy applies once you do. Links to Instagram and other sites are covered by those sites' policies.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We don't track you across other sites, sell your information or share it for targeted advertising, so there's nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. If you send one, we treat it as a request not to sell or share your information, which we already don't do.
Your Choices and Rights
- Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. More in our Text Message Terms.
- You can ask to see what we have on you, get a copy of it, correct it, or delete it. DM us on Instagram at @themorninggroove and we'll take care of it within 45 days. We may ask you to confirm the email or phone number in question first, so we don't hand your information to someone else.
Some states give their residents these rights by law. We offer them to everyone, wherever you live, and we won't treat you differently for using them. If we turn down a request, we'll tell you why, and you can ask us to look at it again.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your sign-up while you're on the list, and requests for as long as we need them to follow up. Ask and we'll delete yours. If you stop emails or texts, we keep a note of your opt-out, and of when and where you agreed to texts, so we can keep honoring it and show that we did.
Keeping It Safe
The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only our team has access to the database and email list. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can see it.
Where It's Stored
Our service providers store and process information in the United States. The site is meant for people in the U.S.; if you use it from elsewhere, your information is handled in the U.S.
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has signed up, DM us on Instagram at @themorninggroove and we'll delete it. Age limits at our events are set by each venue.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use the email or phone number you already gave us, we'll tell the list by email before it takes effect.
